Butterfly Poetry – Reading Video

“The caterpillar does all the work, but the butterfly gets all the publicity.”
― George Carlin

Here’s my short little poem “For Every Butterfly”. It ponders the relationship between the beautiful and the grim of life. Hopefully it puts a little smirk on your face.

FOR EVERY BUTTERFLY

Skimming easy
Screaming orange polka dots
And below the tranquil vector
a sizzled earthworm,
curled black
on the skillet hot sidewalk
